The wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2011 was one of the most highly-anticipated events in recent years. The extravagant day was watched by millions across the world, with many eager to see what dress the bride would be wearing.
Many fans were keen to know exactly which products the Duchess used for her wedding look, from her hair to her makeup and nails. Its since been revealed that Kate's nail design of choice was kept simple, and used popular high street products.
It's been widely reported that before the big day Kate has the "60 minute royal manicure" with her manicurist Marina Sandoval. For Kate's wedding nails, Sandoval reportedly used a combination of Essie nail polish in Allure and Bourjois' So Laque ultra-shine nail enamel in Rose Lounge.

Unfortunately the exact Bourjois vanish used has since been discontinued, but fans can still get their hands on Essie's polish in the shade Allure. In fact, fans can get the Duchess' nail vanish of choice from high street stores such as Boots and Superdrug for the bargain price of £7.99.
According to Essie, the shade is "fit for royalty" and "this seductive sheer nail polish with a natural finish is a favourite of brides everywhere". Essie also says that it is "perfect for a French manicure or a demure nail look".
The Queen is also thought to be a big fan of Essie nail colours, and has reportedly been wearing the same shade for more than 30 years. The Queen’s go-to nail polish is said to be Essie’s polish in the shade Ballet Slippers.
Back in 1989, the monarch’s hairdresser sent Essie a letter requesting a bottle of the Ballet Slippers polish, saying it was “the only colour Her Majesty would wear”. According to Essie, the shade is a “classic pale pink polish, graced with a subtle, sheer finish”, which is “an eternal manicurist and fashion stylist favourite”.
